What do I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in. If you want to dress up a little that is fine just make sure you can spin and move in your clothes freely.

What kind of shoes do I wear?
If it is your first class, men should wear shoes with a leather bottom to promote smoothness in spins. Avoid shoes with rubber soles, because they may cause a sticking effect on the dance floor. Women should wear heels with straps on them, so if they were to kick their shoe would not fly off and hit someone. The heel height should be no higher than 3 inches to help with balance. For those interested in ordering dance shoes call Ashley (702)808-7126 for details.

What is competitive dancing?
Competitive dancing is for dance students who want to be held to a higher standard. Here at Pro Ballroom Dance we give added focus to Latin and Ballroom competitions. These competitions allow students to showcase their dance technique in nationally certified competitions around the country. In fact, there are four competitions held here in Las Vegas! So if you are the type of individual who loves to take it to the limit, then this is the studio for you. Click here to sign up for a private lesson.

How should my professional dance shoes fit?
For women your big toe should hang off the edge off your shoe for your foot to feel the dance floor. The shoe should fit like a glove and will stretch as time goes on. 2 1/2-3 inch heels are recommended. Open toe heel for Latin and Close toe shoe for smooth or standard. Men's dance shoes should be comfortable and fit like a glove.

What color of dance shoe should I wear for competition?
Skin color or nude is the top choice for the competitve look on the dance floor. This gives the illusion of making your leg lines longer.
